“Why can’t we offer credit card payment options?
One of the primary reasons we do not provide the option to pay by credit card is due to the high commission fees imposed by credit card companies. These fees can be quite substantial, typically amounting to around 10% of the total order value. Unfortunately, these fees ultimately fall on the shoulders of the customers, meaning you would end up paying more for your purchase. We believe that such a high commission rate is excessive, especially when there are more cost-effective alternatives available, such as international bank transfers which are often considerably cheaper.
Additionally, there’s a significant concern for online shops when it comes to credit card payments – the risk of fraud. Many fraudulent orders are placed using stolen credit card information, and when these orders are processed, the shops are left with two undesirable outcomes. Firstly, they may never receive payment from the credit card companies for these fraudulent transactions. Secondly, in some cases, shops may even face fines or penalties as a result of unknowingly processing fraudulent transactions. To mitigate these risks and maintain the integrity of our business, we’ve made the decision to abstain from accepting credit card payments.
By not relying on credit card transactions, we are able to keep our operating costs low.
